Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon

Mr John Geoghegan is a Consultant Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust within the Nottingham Shoulder and Elbow Unit.

Mr Geoghegan graduated from The University of Nottingham Medical School in 1997. He trained in Nottingham and Derby before completing the Upper Limb Fellowship at The Wrightington Upper Limb Unit in 2008. He was appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2009. Mr Geoghegan is a board member of the Nottingham Elective Orthopaedic Unit as the Clinical Lead for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals. He is the Clinical Lead for Shoulder Trauma at the East Midlands Major Trauma Centre, Queen’s Medical Centre. He has active roles in audit, research, teaching and training.

Mr Geoghegan has a very large arthroscopic, arthroplasty and trauma practice in Nottingham.
