5Cs framework launch event – Monday 27 November

Professor Chris Harwood from the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University, will be launching his 5Cs framework for developing the psychological health and performance of young athletes at the NCSEM-EM this November.

The 5Cs framework focuses on the qualities and behaviours associated with commitment, communication, concentration, control and confidence and has been successfully employed with coaches and parents in youth academy football over several years.

Attendees at the event will hear from Professor Chris Harwood about the 5Cs framework, its development and practical applications, as well as extensions to the initiative that may be of interest. Dr Karl Steptoe, Head of Sport Psychology at Leicester City Football Club Academy, will also talk about how he has applied the 5Cs framework with his players, coaches and parents.

The event will take place on Monday 27 November at 5pm. To book a place, please email NCSEM-education@lboro.ac.uk.
