EVENT: Explosive Strength: Measurement and Training Considerations

Explosive strength, defined as the ability to rapidly develop muscle force, is important when there is limited time to produce force, such as during athletic activities and restabilisation of the body following a loss of balance.

Monitoring and developing explosive strength (via specific training methods) is important for optimising athletic performance. However, explosive strength is difficult to measure accurately and there are important training considerations to increase explosive performance.

Who should attend?

Physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, graduate students, physiologists, biomechanists
