Participants needed for online survey to investigate gender, the body and quality of life

Researchers at Loughborough University are looking for participants to complete an online survey to test the accuracy of a new measure assessing issues around gender.

Research in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences is testing the accuracy of a new transgender health outcome measure called the Nottingham Gender and Body Dysphoria Scale. The measure aims to assess the issues that transgender people experience around their bodies, gender and quality of life. If found to be accurate, this measure will hopefully be used in clinical practice to evaluate the medical treatment transgender people receive and may also be used in research, including that on physical activity already being conducted in this population.

To participate in the online survey you need to:

  • be 18 years of age or over
  • identify as either transgender or cisgender (being content with the gender assigned to you at birth)

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and can be found here.
