Public lecture: Managing your type 2 diabetes

Jacqui Troughton, Senior Clinical Research Associate (Dietitian) at Leicester Diabetes Centre, will present an NCSEM public lecture this March.

The lecture, Managing your type 2 diabetes, will take place at the NCSEM-EM at Loughborough University on 5 March 2019.

Jacqui Troughton has a clinical background as a state registered Dietitian (1986). She has had career experience in clinical, academic and research settings. She has enjoyed worked in the speciality of diabetes for 25 years.

Over the last 15 years, Jacqui has developed and researched educational programmes to support people living with or at risk of developing long term disease conditions. Some of her structured education programmes are now national and international programmes (e.g. Let’s Prevent Diabetes, Walking Away from Diabetes, Healthier You, and ICAN live well with type 2 diabetes).

She has had numerous publications in the field of developing complex interventions. Jacqui also develops and facilitates educational programmes to support healthcare professionals working in the care of people with diabetes. She is an Honorary Teaching Fellow at the University of Leicester.
