Volunteers wanted for study into physical activity and arthritis

Arthritis is a leading cause of pain and disability. Currently, many people living with the condition are classed as inactive.

Researchers in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences are conducting a study which will explore personal experiences of physical activity as told by people living with arthritis. The study will improve understanding of current research in this area and hopes to influence future initiatives which promote physical activity for people with arthritis.

To take part, volunteers must be:

  • male
  • diagnosed with arthritis
  • aged 18 years or above

There is no minimum or maximum level of physical activity required to take part.

The study will involve a relaxed conversation style interview with the lead researcher to discuss your story of arthritis and your experiences of physical activity and exercise. You can choose a time and place in which you feel most comfortable and which best fits your schedule. Interviews will last between one to three hours.

If you are interested in being involved in the study, or for further information, please contact Emily Hunt by email or telephone on 07963942532.
