Dr James King, Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University, will present our final public lecture of the year this December.
Many individuals seeking to lose weight find dieting incredibly difficult and the establishment of long-term weight reduction practically impossible. This talk will examine the reasons why weight loss is so difficult and will explore the role of novel drug and surgical therapies within weight management.
James King is a Lecturer in Exercise Physiology in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. James is currently research active within areas including appetite regulation, energy balance and obesity-related health conditions. His primary teaching responsibilities centre on the physiology of exercise and health at Loughborough.
James is a core investigator within the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre and is a scientific advisor for the Nuffield Health Research Group.
